Well, the A's have always been my AL team since I was a kid and the way the Giants owners have been blocking the move to San Jose has annoyed me. That and just bout every Giants fan I've come into contact with on the internet (since they won the world series because Giants fans didn't actually exist before that) comes across as a smarmy lawyer that tries to bury every comment under an avalanche of words far out of relation to the context. That, and they all seem to relish in Brian Sabeans anti-sabr ignorance.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

The Bash Brothers team with McGwire, Canseco, Weiss, Henderson, Stewart, Eckersley etc. Seeing all the homeruns they hit as a kid was exciting, and I pitched sidearm in tee-ball so Orosco (Mets) and Eckersley were always kind of my pitching heroes. Daryl Strawberry was obviously my favorite player of the era though
I think I ended up liking the A's mostly because the earthquake during the '89 series made it stand out to me and made me pay attention, shrug.
