iOS 6 - yay or nay?

Been hesitant because of "apple maps". Thoughts?

I think it really comes down to how much you think you'll need maps in the immediate.  Apple has hired some ex-Google Maps designers to fix the stuff that's fucked up so it should usable soon hopefully

I think I might back up and then install the new iOS. If I restore from backup will it revert back to the current iOs? (5.xx)

Always restores to current.

I've seen this program mentioned in Tech many times but since I bought my new 2TB drive today, I've got approx. 800GB in files that need to be moved to that drive and I have to say that TeraCopy is doing a fantastic job moving stuff. I initially moved my music folder to the new drive and it was lightning quick, so thanks to all of you that have posted about this here and brought it to my attention - it is so much faster than the standard Windows file relocation utility.

I'm a believer now, too. Moving approx. 880GB at the moment and Windows would surely take over 5 hours to accomplish the same task that TeraCopy will likely pull off in half the time.

I backed up my SteamApps folder to my WDC Green hard drive the other day and it took about 40 minutes. Which is pretty good I think considering the file count is 262,434 (257GB)

I'm running the 90-day trial of Windows 8 Enterprise x64

And I'm also curious as to why he thinks it's better, I can't tell if it's faster than Windows 7 but I obviously haven't tried to do any benchmarks for myself on that.  It would be cool to know if it was faster just from optimization though

Here's my current collection of disks:
- C: SSD for the OS and the majority of my programs
- E: Games drive for Steam and other programs that don't need the SSD (BF3 is on the SSD, Steam is on Games)
- F: Media used to be videos, docs, music and photos but the videos are no longer there...
- Z: Now holds all of my videos and is approx. 880GB in size. I actually used to have more but I was forced to delete a number of movies that I'm never going to watch anymore to make room on the old 1TB before I picked up the new drive yesterday.

I know there are others here on BF2s, though, that have like 4-5TB in storage capacity in their rigs.

its a good thing you dont have a hobby of downloading 1080p tv shows. That will fill the space pretty quick

Although TV shows will definitely do it faster

So start migrating the data that you can to larger drives. Just swap one drive out, migrate the data from one of the older drives to that and then take that empty drive out and put the older one that you first took out in its place. It'll take a while and it's a pain in the ass, but it will work. Or you can buy an external enclosure and take out all your drives and just migrate the data that way via USB or eSATA to the newer, larger drive. What does your collection of drives look like?

Hahaha, yea you definitely don't have a movie collection, do you?

Actually, this isn't what takes up most of my space. I actually have so many TV series on my drive and when you have multiple seasons of shows, it fills up FAST.

Anyhow, giving win8 a whirl. Does anyone know if storage spaces works or if it eats all your data? Thought I'd rebuild my server with my old i7 920, stick in a bunch of disks and use that win8 pseudo raid 5. Thoughts?

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
