just bought the expansion.

all the new weapons such as tear gas, flash bangs etc, can they be used on 'normal' bf2 maps or only on special forces maps such as warlord or iron gator?

of course, because i have only just bought the expansion i have only played on 'normal' maps, but i am sure i have been flash banged a few times on these maps?

sorry if these seems like dumb questions and please excuse my noobness!

As far as I'm aware, the only SF secondary weapon that can be employed in the vanilla BF2 is the flashbang with the F2000.   As for the guns, they can be unlocked for use in vanilla as well, other than the Scar-H.

here's another one.

i have, for example, unlocked the first assault weapon i.e. the g3. therefore, do i have to wait until i get my next increase in rank before i can unlock the f2000?

Yes and No. If you haven't played SF yet (as you said). the first time you play on a SF map you will double your unlocks and every rank form now on you will get 2 unlocks instead of 1.

You'll probably also want to know, so ill save you the time asking. You CAN NOT USE SF unlocks in SF.

cheers drunkface but you will have to clarify. my head isn't working - too much shakespeare!

what can or can't i do with these new sf weapons that i am going to get?

the server i play on is not sf, but i want the weapons. as a little treat to myself for finishing a whore of a shakespeare essay i bought sf expansion. i want to use the weapons on a normal, non-sf server. can i?

what do you mean i can't use sf weapons on sf?

Playing SF grants you retroactive unlocks; one for each rank you have attained...

These unlocks work in BF2 BF2EF and most likly BF2AF; they will not work in BF2SF...

You only get one tier of unlocks in BF2SF...
