Photobucket now automatically adds characters to the end of newly uploaded images.
They've done this to stop fuskering.
There is no option to disable.
The change appears to be permanent.

Example:
Uploaded file name: image0123.jpg
Photobucket will change to: image0123_zps4a91a305.jpg
