Well, if you would look precise, you could call BF2 BF3, as BF1942 was the first, BF Vietnam was the second and now BF2 is the third BF game... That's my theory, also ofcourse there is BF2142 coming out soon...

A 'no' would have been great, I'm aware of BF2142. I think they called it BF2 because it was a different genre to 1942 much like 2142 will be different to BF2. I wanted to know if there was going to be a similar game to BF2 but a next gen version in terms of graphics etc. I guess not!

Unofficially I think it is being planned right now after the rather large community outcry over BF2142... Still not sure what the problem is, if BF2142 fails then BF3 will be modern/past combat again....
Still waiting on a remake of BF1942.... Ranks in that would rock....

Like Ricardo, I'm not a fantasy game type person. I loved BF2 because it represented the modern battlefield and didn't go down the route of the tired WW2 games or invest in a war set a million years in the future (although they've done that 2142).
I want a new BF game set in the here and now!
