gahhhhhhhh fuck youuuuuuu.

let me know what it's like, I'm tempted. But I'm also tempted by the 670, but the 660 ti has like 95% of the power for $100 less.

Furthermore, I'm also considering sticking with my SLI 460s for another generation.

Nice! I was considering that but I wanted something bigger so then I looked at the T-series but then I wanted something thin and light, so then I decided upon the X1 with the i7. I also bought a 64gb SD card to keep plugged in at all times to store videos/music, since the laptop only comes with 128gb ssd, and I didn't really want to pay $250 just to double that space.

Dayum. How much did all that set you back, if you don't mind my asking?

Just ordered the Logitech G400 to replace my venerable MX518.  Any recommendations on what SteelSeries mousepad I should pair it with?

My MX518 is ailing as well. I like the long length and button placement (2 on the thumb instead of 1). Is that a good replacement?

No idea about mousepads though sorryz.

Well, seems like it was cheap for a reason. Still no idea when they are going to get it so I cancelled the order.

I'd say stick with the 460 sli until 7xx series is out.

Yeah I'm thinking so. What would be a good cheap gpu to buy for my fiancé so I can get my other 460 back from her?

What would be the most demanding use for it? Cheap = under used 460 price?

Well right now she's using it to play DayZ, the most demanding thing will probably be that, but the requirements for that are gonna change signification very soon.

Preferably new as well.

Current new cards below $200 are pretty horrible. Under that used cards are the way to go right now. New HD 7850 is the first one I would recommend over used gtx 460/560ti but it is already priced above 200.

For example I just finalized a deal to get GTX 480 AMP! for 150€ (overclocked, nice zalman cooler, performance just behind gtx 580). It is still much cheaper than even the slower HD 7850.

So, either prepare to pay ~200 or start looking for much better used deals. Anything between gtx 460 and gtx 570 (or HD 6870 and HD 6970) will do, dayz is very likely going to be more demanding in the near future.

Maybe this gives a better idea where the performance of these cards land, GTX 460 averages ~HD 6870.

Cheers Panz, I might just get another 460 second hand. That card is still a perfect GPU in my opinion.

Heard the battery life on that little guy is garbage. Hope the performance outweighs the low charge life.

if it were low performance the battery life would be high.

Or you could have high performance and new battery technology. It's not impossible to have both, so I'm just wishing that person the best. Turd

New battery technology is easier said than done. Well sure, something experimental is out there but safe? no.

Hey, cellphones cause cancer anyway. Why not take a risk?

Cancer is slow. A battery exploding in your pocket? That's a quick way to go.
