So think about...
High school is about 4,000 people.
So lets say 100% of the students go to the games (if that actually would happen).
Ticket is $8 per person.
10,000 non-student seats x $8 = $80,000/game
How about $15 each for concessions?
$15 x 14,000 = $210,000/game
So @ $290k per game, the stadium will breakeven after 17 home games. About two seasons.
So what do you think happens to the profit after two seasons? I'm guessing most goes to the city.
Seems like a pretty easy justification when the Allen Eagles happen to be one of the top high school teams in Texas every year.
