F*** that patch my ping is over 1000000 in servers where it has normally being 40. Half of the servers crash once in 30 minutes. I can still do squad hopping... So the patch only added more bugs and problems...
Hi everyone,
i have played the 1.3 patch now for some hours and was able to reproduce many of the errors you mentioned before:
- the server list is totaly broken (ping, players on map, servers disappearing)
- many game servers go down in game after 15 to 25 minutes
- big lags on servers that were totaly ok before 1.3
I really ask myself what that peoply at DICE are calling "quality assurance".
It seems they should do beta tests for their patches, REAL tests.
That is not acceptable ! Offending customers with crap like that is destroying the brand, do they think about that ?
If they only do patches the half way, they should let bf2 be like it was and not potter about it and present something like this unprofessional BULLSHIT to the customers. Seems like EA took over at last.
I am most disappointed !
(And i dont mention the most famous red name bug)
PS: I just set up a support call at EA Germany (im from Germany) regarding that technicaly unacceptable patch (->more errors than fixes) and will report the outcome here as soon as they answer

Im not looking forward to playing so much after a nice break from it, though im hoping that its not as bad as you guys are making it seem. Right. lol

the patch is installed smoothly, and it works without any problems same with server browser. only problem is localization got bit messy. i guess i am being lucky
lool u get the dodgy commandin voice "vehicle drop your area" or wotever the f*ck it says, luvin it atm, best 1 yet

This is the first patch I literally will not play since 1.12(Got in to the game late)
Now there were some BAD patches, but none that really affected GETTING IN TO THE FREAKING GAME! Hopefully they do a quick 1.31 instead of waiting

Okay... I am not happy. Not happy at all. Not about specific patch details, really, but after I installed it the mouse sensitivity felt really off. I was dizzied up all game. I'm still feeling a bit dizzy.
Other disgruntled comments:
1. Badges are *WAY* too easy to get now. When I logged in I got two vets and experts (knife and zipline)... now I'm glad they put the vet/expert ziplines in now, but the knife badges don't feel godlike anymore. I was going to go for my expert today too. I guess it makes sense in that badges aren't really supposed to be hard to get (vs. medals, I mean) but it's still not satisfying when your knife badge really only means you've killed 100 people with it.
Lowering some of the medal times made sense. Having to wait hours after fulfilling all the requirements of the Combat Infantry medal was stupid.
2. Car dropping, I'm undecided on. While it adds a completely new thing to have to worry about, that enemies can now get to you a lot faster when you thought they were well busy on the other side of the map... which is kind of a good thing, it's also ridiculously obnoxious when commanders can drop vehicles on players trying to stealth around the enemy.
It's like "OH LOOK, THERE HE IS!"
It's also really f'in weird to see pickup technicals drop out of the sky. Reeaaaally weird.

realize that 80% of the people who play this game dont live with their parents and have lives that need attention (job, girlfriend, etc.). Obviously the requirements are going to reflect that. EA/DICE are smart for loosening these up, allows for everyone, who paid just as much money as you did for the game, to enjoy these awards.
I worked my arse off to get my Cross ... The very next week I get the "Peoples Choice Awad" and the "Golden Letter Opener" These feel cheap to me as I didn't work for them and I had my battle plan worked out on how to get them. The glory of obtaining these was wiped away in one foul swoop.
Playing since the patch I can see good and bad with the vehicle drops and will reserve comment on this
The Server list (when filtering ping) is appauling and needs to be addressed immediately
Fixing 'Lockon Weapons' is a God send. Everyone is thinking stingers and AAM's. I'm thinking more AGM's. When you have a competant F15 or SU37 pilot (i.e. NOT flying at 800km/h and deck flying but actually keeping altitude, level flight and keeping it at 300 km/h ... it's a team vehicle you stupid idiot!) it will be nice not having the AGM overshooting

every time i leave a server and try and join a new one, the game crashes to deskptop. wtf? any fixes?

Go to control panel
Open up add/remove programs
Find BF2 and click Remove
Take the disc out of the Drive
Open up the CD case
Place CD in the case
Place said case with disc inside a draw or in bin to never be seen again.
Wite email to Dice/EA. Telling them to "Suck my dick"

Oh god, I'm not going to read through 8 pages on complaints just to see if anyone's mentioned this yet: server browser. Rarely does it report the correct people in the game. I'll see people in the window to the bottom but it'll say 0/48 (for example). Also, I'll click on a server to refresh and the ping will jump to something ungodly like 162390987 and then back to a normal ping like 96. One server had an issue with entering vehicles. You'd run up to a vehicle, hit E, run through it and then magically appear in the vehicle in it a half second later. Kept doing that to the tank on Kark. I dont know if it was a lag issue or what.

But the lag has been bad as of late lets say since 23/5/06
I've noticed an increase of lag and more fuckedupness with the server browser with each patch since 1.12.
this patch might be no fun, but it's a challenge!
They need to fix the server listings, and I cant change my bots value.
like some things...
I dont really like it. Its raised my ping on all games and sort of fucked up the "Server Name" search on the "Join Internet" part.

It is unbelievable how those amatures at EA (Enormous A$$holes?) constantly manage to s*ck in doing their job. Each time they release a new patch they need two additional patches to fix what they f*cked up. The browser s*cks, you click a server and it jumps to another one. Sometimes I cannot lie down in the game so I make a nice target. Sometimes I run out of energy to run and it simply doesn't come back. It's at those times I cannot crawl, too. In Dragon Valley you can still run your plane or chopper into an invisible wall near the US base with UV and ST. The games crash all the time to desktop or the connection is lost, just when you got a nice score. EA is just a bunch of increadible incompetent monkeys. We pay like hell for all their stuff and then they just keep on f*cking it up. I'm so pissed off that I no longer watch my language, sorry. I'm just so frustrated with this it is the same thing over and over again. Do they ever test? If they do then what do they test? Check if they can still j3rk off behind their super computers with super screens? You wouldn't even expect this in third world countries. AAHHHHHHHH. And what can the customers do? They get nothing that works. They will just come back with "Great News from EA - we have adjusted some minor problems and fixed them for you".
Bug wise, everything is working fine except for the info on server. there is none!
I appreciate the awards revision. (c'mon, admit that some requirement were completely crazy and reachable only by those 1000+ hours crazy dude on the top ten) I agree for those who have worked real hard getting them. now theyre easy to get and you loose all the satisfaction of getting it. The thing is, EA should have got the requirement right in the first place - nobody would be angry if the reqs. would have been ok from day one. But at the defence of EA/DICE, at least they put a game with stats and rewards. That was theyr fisrt attempt and they made couples of mistakes, heard the community and revised the reqs.
I think it will be way better from the starts with BF3 when it comes out.
PS.: Maybe they are dummyed down the reqs for us to get them before BF2142 comes out so we can say: "i got what i wanted to get. Lets switch to BF 2142" but thats my opinion!

im ok over here. i only had to re-install once to get it to work. getting rid of squad jopping actually doesnt bother me.
