I'm baffled as to why Del Bosque thinks Torres is a viable solution. He scored two shit goals against Ireland and sucked big time for the entire game. Those goals did not show he was in form, they just showed how shit Rep. of Ireland were.
He doesn't seem to learn from previous matches and thinks that Spain can just grind out with their talent, which is a load of bullshit because they can't counter or attack properly without a solid striker that can adapt to the measured play of the midfielders. Torres just runs like a headless chicken to where he thinks the ball should be played through, and 9/10 times misses the fucking idea entirely.
It should be Negredo starting with Fabregas, Xavi and Iniesta behind. Martinez (Alonso is fucking pish in the Spain squad) and Busquets covering and then the normal back 4. It's not hard to realise that would be the most effective team to work with. Negredo can adapt a lot quicker and is a huge force when it comes to moving attacks.
