I understand the new No Squad Hopping (Which sucks ass by the way!! --I just love spending hours running around on a map to get to my squad)

I found playing last night that many times when I was *dead* the entire Squad Menu was locked. I couldn't create a squad. I couldn't join a squad. It wasn't until I spawned and went back to the Squad Menu that I was able to join or create a squad. Is this the way this is now working or was it some sort of glitch?

Fine....I totally disagree with the decision, but if that is what they are going to do then don't make it so I have to be in game and standing there like a f'ing moron waiting to be someone else's easy 2 points just so I can join a squad.  Make it so I can change squads or what ever when I am dead and just make the squad leader unspawnable.

Jeez....I am actually hoping that it was a glitch.

Anybody else confirm this is the way it is going to work ....or just a glitch.

I actually agree with the new Squad Rules, it enforces team work and does away with having 10 squads on the same side in a 32 player server solely used for the purpose of spawn hopping.  It will force the Squad Ldr to do his job and position themselves to aid in his squad capping  a flag instead of Ramboo'n it.

To answer your questions:

1. No you can not change or create squads if you are dead.

2. If you change squads you still will have to repsawn at a friendly flag the first respawn after that (in other words you die, spawn and join a squad, you die again, you still can't spawn on the SL until you spawn once more at a flag).

As I said to me this only drives home the TEAM aspect even more.  Of course I was good with it the other way as well and believe me I used squad hopping to aid in capping flags and getting points just like everyone else.

My first game after installing the patch, I found myself unable to spawn on my squad leader. Even after several respawns on an actual spawn point. This frustrated me to hell because while my team (USMC) was battling away at the hotel area, my squad was approaching the Train Wreck but I couldn't do anything to help them. I opened up the squad menu and I couldn't even leave the squad. Nothing worked on that screen. Ony after leaving the server and reconnecting could I access the squad menus.

I can still do squad hopping... So it didn't have effect on that.

.... How can it create teamwork if you cant stick together with the people that are in your squad. You mine as well ditch the squads now, cause all they are good for is VOIP, and that was Teamspeak is for.
We tried to stop ya EA, but i guess your just a bunch of morons.

Thats one of EA's Fine Glitches.. When that happends i usually go commander as your pretty much stuck on your own, mine as well do something about it.

Yeah i am sure i installed it and dropped some cars in that same server where i did squad hopping, and it's ranked server (www.stf-bunker.de).

Yeah, it IS possible to squad hop still...it just requires a bit of suiciding to accomplish.

I can do it without suicides, there is a way to do it. The way is that u join a squad and instantly (in 2 seconds) u spawn, at least worked with me...

Yup my clan mate had this bug.. he was in charlie squad... A none existant squad and couldnt join us in Bravo.

To the asshat who gave me -1 karma and left the above remark:

You can still spawn on the squad leader you FUCKING WATERHEAD! 

Here's the deal though fuckstick, you have to be smart enough to read the damn news release with the changes made to squad play via patch 1.3.  I know simple minds are hard to reach but hey at least it was written in english so you did have a chance.

Last night I played a game where I was always in Bravo squad... couldn't leave, couldn't create a new squad, apply for commander, even if I switched sides I was in Bravo.  Didn't matter if I was dead or alive or if the round ended.  Hopefully it was just that one server....

Personally squads are useless. I rarely used them. Most of my time is spent as a lone wolf. Unless your retarded, you should know what to do without some moron 10 ranks lower than you constantly bombarding you with commands.

I had the exact same problem tonight: I started the game in a squad and was not able to spawn on my squad leader the entire game. I had to spawn at control points and that made it hard to work with the squad.
