What's with this nonsense cavalry notion.  WWI + automatic weapons resolved what happens to horse cavalries.

From what I've read, the first third of the game will be set in the 1980s which sets up the scene for the final 2 thirds, which will be in 2025. I'm guessing from the desert and the Hind that you'll be playing as/among the mujahideen in the soviet-afghan war, and they weren't exactly known for their cutting edge tech.

I've also read that they'll be having multiple endings, which you get for completing/failing/ignoring various missions over the course of the game. Considering the linearity of the previous installments, that's quite a change. How big a change is yet to be seen, though I can't imagine any major changes will be brought into the multiplayer.

BlOps SP was pretty fun, I might get this when it drops in price.

It's all marketing - this FPS Russia guy is just some gun nut out of New Jersey (the accent is faked) that has a massive following from the CoD fanbase because he'll shoot anything and everything from the games, etc. His channel is huge these days, and I'd imagine Activision looks at as free marketing.

As for Black Ops 2, this game looks incredibly lame. The cyber-punk styling and setting looks bland along with the laughably outdated graphics add up to just look like BO 1 with a new skin.  But I'm beating a dead horse here, so I'll move along...
