They use commodore 64's for their account servers anyhow.. never was 'fast' by any means..

Their whole account/ranking/stats etc network is junk.  Unreal Tournament with far more players
logs your stats seamlessly without a hestitation at all, and stats are updated IMMEDIATELY at
game end.. but for some reason EA just cant figure anything out correctly..
