I tried playing Iron Gator. I love the map. But I get insane lag and I cant do anything. I have had 10fps on a iron gator server and still.. lag. I get insane lag even in LAN by myself. Does anyone else have this problem???

No bro i don't play the map, it could be few things, ( sheard internet connection ) suome is downloading sumthing, you hagve spywere ,antipopups, firewall, running in BG, your video settings are set to high change them to low. could hbe number of other things bro.Aslan_the_Creator wrote:

I think its just due to the fact that whilst the idea behind the map is good, the map itself is shit.
The map is very detailed, you're not getting lag due to your internet connection, but your hardware. The only way to stop it is to lower your video settings

If its a full 64man server, then im not surprised.
Play it on 32. Half the people = a lot less of the amount of actions for both the server and your PC to have to cope with.

Iron Gator is notorious for the lag. Just turn down your graphics a bit and bear with the lag.
I started getting bad lag in BF, SF whatever map...one day I was in the back yard and noticed some tree limbs had grown to where they were pushing on and lifting the cable running to the house. I got a latter and a saw and cut them back...no lag at all now! yeah!
So check to make sure no limbs are touching the line if that applies to you.

Dunno why. Most of the time it doesn't so I'm assuming if it doesn't kick high-pingers it also affects you.

seems odd, BF2 runs fine on all high on my pc except for dynamic light and shadows which I turn off. But when i try to play SF it just lags like hell
