Ejecting (as Pilot) from a fully-loaded BH while hovering and texting a gunner to "Start shooting, Dude . . . " - and since nobody (including ME)  realized I "stepped out for a smoke", the bird goes down past me with a couple of guys yelling "Go, go, go!", and the same gunner texting "Start flying, Dude . . . ". He joined me as a lawn dart just before we all hit the ground together.

even worse is if you're the second man in an aircraft...  I was in TV missile mode when I noticed that I was getting really close to the ground (*the pilot had been doing nothing but dog-fighting the rest of the time*) - hmm, wonder what's going on with....  CRASH!!!

How about eagerness to the point of stupid suicide: sniper was carving us up, and a couple of us spotted his position, so I climbed the ladder knowing full well that there was almost certainly an explosive treat waiting for me at the top. What I didn't realise that my buddy was climbing up the ladder so close that when the claymore blew my head off, it killed him too, leaving the sniper time to reset his booby trap.

Another 'amusing' incident was when I was a passenger in a BH with a few others at Wake Island. The BH was going in low and hot, trying to avoid the other aircraft, but unfortunately, for whatever reason, he flew a little too low, and, well, we all know what water does to non-amphibious vehicles...

Hmm, stupid ways to die.  Well, I have to say the dumbest way to die is on Dragon Valley.

I'm flying along in my jet after staying up the whole round without any deaths and I'm in first place.  I go back to the carrier but before I get there..KABOOM!!!  Ohh Emm Gee WTF Bar-b-que!!1!!11oneone I just ran into an invisible wall precaurisously placed close to the carrier.  You know, where theres a lot of air traffic.  YAY!!

Another story happened to me tonight actually.  I was playing Strike At Karkand as American and managed to make my way to the boxcars at the train wreck flag.  I got in the boxcar that is crooked from the rest and put a claymore in front of both doors, as if anyone came over for a peek thier head would explode in a fine bloody mist.  I sit there for a while and wait....and wait and wait and wait and no one comes by, and then I see some one....standing on the other side of the Vodnik where I couldn't get a shot.  I'm thinkin, "I can so totally sneak up on this dude and pistol whip him, lol's".  So I dart out of the boxcar only to detonate my claymore and send about 5 pounds of shrapnel up my butt.  Luckily, my team was making a push on that flag and a medic was nearby and he reved me, but now there is a lot of action at the flag.  A couple of AK101'ers start shooting at me so I make a mad dash for the boxcar and dive through the door only to get a fainting glimpse of my OTHER claymore blowing up in my face.  Once again the medic is right there and rev's me AGAIN.  I lay down under the boxcar and kill one of the guys, the other runs around to the other side and begins shooting again.  I was down to about 4 bars of life this time so once again I take off in a dead sprint to get away.

I made it about 4 feet and the same medic runs over me in a Vodnik and keeps going.

Well if you knew it would be a boobytrap at the top of the ladder why didnt you blew it up by a grenade?

Okay, so I'm playing on Kubra Dam, and I'm at the middle dam flag. I'm out by one of the ramps up to the flag, and there's an enemy AA vehicle there. I was engineer so I got up behind him and threw down a mine. Now mind you he had seen me the whole time, so the guy gets out to try to take me out one on one. So, I figured why not, and jumped in the vehicle to get an easy kill. So what do I do? As soon as I jump in I hit reverse...15 seconds later I spawn somewhere else.

One thing to note, when falling off buildings/objects, if you're too close the parachute won't open on the principle that it needs room to open.

"Wait, this isn't my parachute.. it's my lunch!"

I always found the drops to be dumb.. or driving a vehicle fast and hopping out at that point where it slides back down ontop of you.

Or how about trying to fire a rocket from what you presumed was a clear shot, only to realize the sandbags in front of you just palmed the rocket back in your face. "Medic!"

Sadly, i've done that one too Deedubya. Oh I sigh at myself sometimes...sigh and shake my head.

Meh, that's not stupid. I was in an attack chopper, and ran out of rockets. Rather then go back and reload, I decided to get the dude in my sites by carving him up with the rotor, (they did it in some movie, can't remember which one... I'm not thinking of Mission:Impossible, but I think they did it in that too.) Didn't go quite as slow as I wanted, but I managed to carve him up with the advancing giant fan. Unfortunatly, the rotor caught on his corpse... or the ground... or something, and my chopper went head over heels. Crappiest part of all was, the guy I carved up got two kills! Me and my gunner.
A guy got chopped like that in Broken Arrow. Great movie.

I was chinese and my teamates were in a chopper duel so I decided to help them out by shooting at the enemy chopper from a boat. I've wiped out many attack choppers from jeeps and boats but this time I just happened to hit my teamates with ONE stray round as the choppers traded positions mid-fire. I "teamkilled" both crewmembers got a double punish and the cobra swung around and blasted me to death. I said "wtf, why punish?" he said "You should know which chopper is friendly". That pissed me off to no end because I was just trying to help THEM out. I can't think of a worse way to die in BF2 except if that had happened to a fully loaded transport chopper and got like 6 punishes then killed. You know I wish more people would ask what happened before just punishing a TK.

Or noticing it in time, bailing out and getting hit by the madly rotating heli. Did that twice in the same round.

but probably the worst, most annoying one (pre-patch) is jumping out of a car/boat and gettin squished and -2.

but even more annoying is the fact that you probably took it to some far far away flag, and took you time to get there.

I was commander on strike at karkand for usmc.  A spec op for mec had just finished blowing up our uav and i killed him headed for the uav and layed down to start fixing it when a squad leader asked for art fire on his location.  I opened the commander screen and placed the arty, and decided eh noone needs these supply's right now ill use them to fix our uav.  The next thing i see is the you will spawn in 15..14.. and hear uav is repaired.

That will teach me to get side tracked.
