hideous premise for a movie, too. airbrushing thatcher's history to make her look like some hero. resentment for thatcher is still extremely widespread on the ground here - nobody is thanking her today for her neoliberalism. it didn't tackle any of her bad policies, disastrous tax-plans or her killing of equality/mobility. it's a disgusting idea for a movie.

Toy Story: 10/10 the only movie I'll ever honestly give a 10/10
Toy Story 2: 7.5/10 Not on par with the original
Toy Story 3: 9/10 Much better than 2, still can't beat the original.

Just came from watching the Hunger Games. Felt like Running Man made again in the forest. Haven't read the books and after watching the movie I very much doubt I even will. Characters were boring. Storytelling sucked ass. Only good thing was that the girl was semi pretty. Very forgettable movie.

I can't believe I've only just watched it but I'm actually glad I never watched it when I was younger and ruined it like I've done so many times before with films. At first I thought the main character was Cillian Murphy and I thought that was top notch casting, but I quickly realised it wasn't and soon I didn't care, so good was Leto's performance.

Not that his performance was the best out of that ensemble, that belongs to the actress who plays his mother.

a solid 8.5.

it gets less good as you watch it more. it's a good film technique-wise, aronofsky is a great director. but it is a bit much sometimes. just over the top and melodramatic, in the bad way. some of it is a bit pretentious as well - the sort of stuff that would probably appeal to a hip late-teen. drugs maaan.
