Innocent till proven guilty beyond resonable doubt. This thread is evidence enough that there are people who are on either side of the fence. The judge would no doubt stress that what they have heard in the media should not be taken into consideration at all and they should base their discussions solely on the evidence presented and argued. Granted there is the media perception that a jury would have going into a trial but it would be both the defence and prosecution's jobs to throw that out the window at the first opportunity as any juror could either be against or for Zimmerman - they have no way of knowing.-Sh1fty- wrote:

I'm actually somewhat more interested in this case now. Hate to feed the media ratings but I wanna see how the state will try to prove there was no self defense involved. I imagine the defense will get some sort of expert to testify that the wounds Zimmerman had would have been caused by Martin attacking him.
For those of you who said that Zimmer could easily take Martin down due to weight I have to question whether or not you heard the police call. He sounds like a huge pussy.

It's generally considered a waste of scarce judicial resources to bring charges against someone when there is a lack of evidence. The DA didn't charge him until almost two months after the incident largely due to left wing furor. Trial by jury is fine, whether he wins or not I couldn't care less, I just despise the lynch mob being egged on by the media. There's almost no chance he gets convicted of murder two.
