the only reason people cared in the first place is because it complimented all the pop-psychology and pseudo-philosophy at the time. it was a (terribly written and entirely transparent) novel of finger-wagging and overt political explication. it basically massaged the balls of the establishment at the time and was hip-cool and shocking enough to enthrall a generation of young readers. objectivism is a total hack philosophy and hasn't really added anything to the general discourses of intellectual thought, other than a nice paper-weight for tea party members (who probably haven't read it)Pochsy wrote:
