Alright, ive created this thread for people to post thier storys about commanders abusing the drops

I dont have any storys to share yet so for now Ill post some things Ive found out about them

1) The vehicle is a transport, the type of transport is different per map

2) Each team can only have two drops existing at one point, this means that commanders have to wait for one of the two drops to be blown up before they can start the timer for the next one

3) These vehicles have a very fast explosion time, Have you ever noticed that vehicles not on their spawn not being used for a long time blow up? These drops do that, but faster, much faster, say a minute? Also, the explode instantly no smoke or anything, so watch out, these should only be used for fast transport for squads, not for leaving, getting out, coming back, point being: If your not using it, you most likely wont be getting it back

4) Sounds are added, but the voices are 'aged' or different, for example, the nice commander lady sounds really really different, as well as the squad member/leader/ voices

i've managed to destroy:

three jets.  two taking off and one flying over its airfield to rearm.

two choppers.  one taking off and one hovering over its pad repairing.

one tank.  it landed directly on top of the tank, both of them got stuck, and they both exploded.

countless people.  the thing is an enemy commander seeking missile.

I am waiting to see the exploit that enemy commander drops these constantly on runways to prevent jets from taking off...

I have yet to nail any jets or other vehicles, but I've killed several commanders and random snipers with the vehicle drop. I think its hilarious. As far as abusing, I don't think so, just look up and keep your wits about you.

To test that the patch had installed correctly I went on a karkand server with 1 other person on and went as commander.  Obviously there wasn't enough people to start a round so I decided i wanted to mess about with vehicle drops so i sat in a tank in the American uncap and searched out the other player.  He spent ages stealthily crawling and sneaking towards my base while i could see exactly where he was through the satellite view so i just constantly sent down supply crates and vehicles trying to crush him.  Surprisingly i had more luck with the supply crate than the vehicles.  All in all i must have crushed him about 4-5 times.   My favorite was when he spawned at the hotel and i landed a jeep on the roof which then rolled of and exploded next to him.

...You can't do that. If you read the initial post he said only TWO vehicles are allowed to be active at any time and they self destruct very quickly. You gotta time it really good to get a jet, otherwise they'll just blow up the car and THEN take off.

you dont have to time it all that well.  if you see a jet respawn, drop one right in front of it.

Or how about the awesome ability you have to enter vehicles and drive away! Press "E", enter vehicle and drive it AWAY from the runway.

Geez, kids say the darnest things.

You were also only supposed to be able to drop one set of flares from the choppers. After 1.2 (maybe 1.21, they run together) who could miss the short clip of the transport chopper snowing flares. I understand your point, but random stuff happens.
