what mic is that, did it come with the shock mount, and what are you planning on doing with it?

have the same stuff in my computer. bought it because 4gb wasn't enough for bf3. made bf3 frame-rates great. bf3 sucked.
i now have loads of RAM that hardly ever gets used. sometimes i just load about 20 hd porn videos at once and leave them there, for days. i don't even masturbate.

Sweet, so are we gonna hear an e-bugz solo piece here in a few weeks?

deciding between two 1W blue lasers - played with the S3 at my lab and decided i wanted one
Wicked Lasers' S3 Arctic Series
- looks way better
- more expensive
- has lens add on that look amazing
- multiple modes - low beam/low pulse/high pulse/high beam
- has much better safety features (these things can burn you easily and blind people)
- many quality complaint issues - most lasers max out around 800mW, some as low as 600mW
- generally regarded as shitty customer service
http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Spyd … 96-37.html
Dragon Lasers' Spartan Series
- not near as good looking
- $60 cheaper
- no addons
- only one mode - full beam
- zero safety features
- better quality - usually 900mW-1W output
- decent customer service
http://www.dragonlasers.com/catalog/Spa … 16456.html
got an $800 tuition refund out of nowhere at home so i wanna spend it

What do you use them for?
why would someone want to buy a laser, exactly? i remember having those little laser pens when i was about 14, they were fun to annoy people with. but they weren't capable of blinding someone. ish.

Went to the junkyard today and got the small but crucial things I needed. I also got the top half of a larger 04+ Police Interceptor airbox for $35 where the MAF integrated in it alone would cost at least $200 brand new and the full assembly with the bottom half would be $280. Also found a pristine condition remanufactured 6G alternator sitting in a dead police car for $17
Wait, so how much RAM does BF3 really need if 4GB isn't enough? I plan on getting it one day and I have 4G of DDR2 already. Still gotta reformat to x64 one of these days though.Uzique wrote:

Finally! A stylish and efficient way to cut balloons. praise jebus.SEREMAKER wrote:

Just get another 4 gig, you'll see a performance boost and ram is ridiculously cheap anyway._j5689_ wrote:

Edit: then again just saw you on about ddr2, so don't bother, and seriously you need x64.

Is it the speed of DDR2 that makes it not matter or the price difference?coke wrote:

And yeah I kept having doubts about x64 affecting compatibility and then did some actual research into it and figured out that was just bullshit that kept getting passed on from the XP Pro x64 era where it really did suck with compatibility and now everything works unless you're trying to run 16-bit programs. Now I regret not having formatted to it the last time I did it. Gotta borrow my friend's 2TB external and do it one of these days.

Compatibility is a pretty much a non issue._j5689_ wrote:

Think DDR2 has gone back to reasonable prices now (at one point it was stupidly expensive), but just not sure it's worth spending money on outmoded parts. If your not having any performance issues it's not really worth it, just wait till you upgrade to DDR3.
Well...i got 16gb :B
A bit overkill?

A can of safeway refreshe cola. I thought it might be better than the grotesque strawberry kiwi, but I was wrong. You don't need that much stevia in a drink. What were they thinking?
this thing can cut through metal, instantly burn or blind you and light stuff on fire. and i work with incredibly high powered lasers in school and at my internship so theyre quite relevant.Uzique wrote:

the pens you used were probably around 2mW red lasers, this one is blue and 500x more powerful so the beam is significantly more intense.
its mostly curiosity and interest in what i can do with it (i have a 50mW green one that can visibly hit buildings 5+ km away) as well as the fact that i can use them in my lab to make holograms and other things
