I know that Pink Floyd music is meant to be listened to as one cohesive story through each album, but that doesn't preclude us from liking particular parts of each album more than others. I'm wondering what people think the top Pink Floyd songs are. I'm not going to constrain it to a certain number, because I want to stimulate discussion and avoid comments about how only picking five is impossible.
Anyways, I think Time is by far their best song, and then Brain Damage/Eclipse, Comfortably Numb, Welcome to the Machine, and Echoes comprise the next tier. Money has brilliant lyrics, but I dislike some of the musical elements, particularly the saxophone solo and lack of melodic lyrics.
