I've been noticing some lag problems during game and some crash problems when you click "Join Game" after loading. Is anyone else having this?

Haven't noticed the lag in game... largely because I crash to windows every time I click join game. It is lagging on connectiong though

most of the other people are advising either; DELETE your account and re-set it. OR Re-install BF2 and use the FULL patch from V1 to V1.3. This seems to be solving the problems. I'm stuck in work tonight so if you try either and they work, reply to this forum would you so I'll know what to do in the morning.

hmm, no crashes but tons of lag. about every 5 seconds I spike from 70ping to 250-500

Yep, lagging due to HD/RAM issues (not ping lag) and also connection problems to servers.

Annoying, to say the least. I also think everyone on the server experiences the connection issues. Not just me. It happened twice.

Yeah I'm getting that too, one minute I am screaming along nicely at around 30 then the next minute I'm lagging all over the place with a healthy 200+ then back to 30 again.

Has anyone got any ideas of how to stop this?

Did you restart your computer after you installed the patch? That is one of the top reasons why people's games are messed after installing patches, becuase they do not refresh their hard drive (i.e. restart their computer)

4th crash to desktop... one was during load, 2 when I hit join, one midgame. I'll try the fixes tomorrow, but I don't have the energy or time to try anything tonight...

Well I do crash to win sometimes but not very often. I think all this has to settle down a little bit, coz' now everyone is dl the patch and upgrading, so it will take some time that everything is OK.

Heh, dropping vehicles on locations hard to reach before is really fun and I like it.

Nothing I do seems to help. Maybe EA should try to put out a patch that fixes the game, instead of messing it up next time.

Have been getting the same problems since installing the patch. In two hours I have been dumped while trying to join 4 games, loads map then click on join and back to desktop. About the lag issue, I cannot tell whether it is worse because it's always been bad for me.

Still addicted and will still play even if they replace the AT with a Nerf cannon!
