true, but I was hoping all this talk about AVB's "3 year project" was a sign of change. Guess not.

No Jens, the club is not a joke. AVB was a joke, he managed the players awfully, he made the team spirit WORSE, and the results became even worse. He has no idea how to manage a big club with big players and egos. I'm all for giving time, but you could have given me the job, and I GUARANTEE you if I had sat in my room all day everyday Chelsea would still be in a better position than they are now....He had a project, yes. But the club can only sink so far before his so called project can take effect, and he let it sink too far too quickly.

For once, I will back Ambramovic on this decision, awful appointment in the first place, but i'm sure he felt pressure to give AVB more time, but he had to go....

I have a feeling the likes of Terry and Lamps would have been in direct contact with Abramovic, forcing him to act even quicker. AVB lost the players, as a manager that is the sin of all sins, a rookie error.

No way Abramovic will go for benitez, can't believe he's the bookies favorite.

Results > style of play....A lesson Abramovic has learned the hard way.

The whole dressing-room, "big players" thing going on is the joke, in my opinion. AVB was perhaps not the right choice, he's too young and couldn't stamp his authority on the team, but you can't blame it all on him. The leaks to the press, the (apparent) lack of will to follow instructions, the lack of drive on the pitch, it was ridiculous. You don't see that shit at Man Utd. Especially without Terry on the field, it looked like no-one cared. The problems are more deep-rooted in the club, I feel, it's not all on the manager. Though admittedly, AVB wasn't the man to fix this.

In my opinion, if Chelsea want to get this Champions League trophy, we need a) discipline/mutual coach-player respect (e.g. Mourinho) and b) a coach with (and I hate to reuse the phrase) a project. AVB had started the latter (worked Mata, Sturridge and Romeu into the team), and tried the former (threw out Alex and Anelka), but couldn't get the veterans on his side.

Essentially, I agree with what Dixon says here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17250666, and what Luiz said earlier in the week.

I feel bad for him, really, but he'll do well in the future I'm sure. Great tactical mind.

Anyways, yes please Jose. To be honest he's the only coach I can see putting this team straight. And I agree, results > style, always.

Exactly, a great manager will assess the players and their personalities and approach them in such a way that he creates great team unity. AVB seemingly did not do this the right way at all, and he lost them, in that regard it is all his fault, he can't go in so abruptly with his tactics and new project the way he did...But yes, he should never have been appointed in the first place. You see how Hiddink was the best manager we had since Jose? He first made a strong group spirit, made himself one of the "lads" if you will. Then started to make subtle tactical changes, that is a smart manager. It's a shame Guss just took that job or I would have loved him to come back.

Just the thought of Jose coming back....amazing.

I must thank AVB for making some brave moves with Alex/Anelka/Romeu/Sturridge etc... as you said.

If he goes to Inter, as is reported, i think he will be majorly successful with such a huge emphasis placed on tactics over in Italy, I hope he does well, may be one day he can come back and finish his business with Chelsea.
