Um....has anyone gone for the expert air and ground defense yet (as they no longer require time). That will be the first thing on my to-do list once I intall the patch. When I get on a server I will get marksman infantry medal. Then I will hop on Ghost Town and rape it up w/ my sweet ass Linebacker. Then I will get on Karkand as USMC, cap the Hotel, then switch to MEC and hop on the RPK74-LMG at the square and viola.

Congrats also on totally fucking up the medals/ribbons award criteria. I have spent alomost 1000 hours on this game now and it took me a long time to get the expert knife/pistol and consequently the sharpshooter medal but now all requirements are lowered and i may as well not have bothereed my ass! Way to go! When are you going to stop pandering to the constant whinging of kids who cant be arsed spending more than about 20 hours on a game without achieving top ranked status?
This is my first post on here and possibly my last. Up until now I had given EA/Dice the benefit of the doubt regarding the purchase of EF (utter dross - armour whores paradise, fuck know what AF will be like) and other patches thinking that they are doing ok and addressing most of the issues but this is unbelievable. To change thing which are ok and fuck about with things that don't need to be fucked with is just stupid. How about changing the artillery reload time? How about getting grapple hooks and zip lines into vanilla BF2? How about less armour - focus on squad play and not whoring of vehicles?
Come on EA/Dice, wake up and smell the shite - you are ruining this game (and just for the record, BF2142, what a pony idea....robots/lasers/spaceships = total horseshit)

realize that 80% of the people who play this game dont live with their parents and have lives that need attention (job, girlfriend, etc.). Obviously the requirements are going to reflect that. EA/DICE are smart for loosening these up, allows for everyone, who paid just as much money as you did for the game, to enjoy these awards.=LSR= EddieNI wrote:

Actually mate, am a happilly married man of 30 and have been for nearly 3 years now. I own my own company/house and as such, afford myself the time to do things which i enjoy. Good post... I think the same... The requirements for vehicles and air/ground defense ridiculous. Now it's nice to know I could actually obtain them by next year with my playing time. On the other hand I can understand the frustration with those people that sat in a tow for 60 hours.johnnysz wrote:

Also, I was 50 odd hrs away from qualifying for the Combat Infantry medal. I held off on my Vet knife so that I could go after the Marksman medal separately. That has now gone out the window!
So, at some point this evening, I'm going in. But I don't know whether I'll be laughing or crying by the end of tonight!
