Papers.....

Pretty sure we were discussing creative writing here. I know your papers are all potential lit nobel winners, but c'mon people...

I just read some of it.
Jay was 100% right about the first line. It simply had to be scrapped.

I dont know if its just google docs or my PC, but if i were you i would remove the big spacings between lines> It makes it annoying to read and it looks like a 10-year-old made it.

I have no idea what it's for and what your, so to speak, target audience is, but it is very simplistic writing so if it for anything academic i would try it spice it up a bit more vocabulary-wise, but be careful, because it could come off as forced and have an opposite effect (making it look dumber)

Maybe i should read the whole thing and all posts after and before it before i comment, but i just cba
it's a college admissions essay.  and it's standard to double space everything here so it's easier for teachers to grade it, but either way it shouldn't matter

anyway, idk.  fuck writing
Believe it or not, the lay-out is a big part of writing, in fact, playing around with it is an entire sub-category (mainly in poetry though) within creative writing. Unless its mandatory, i would remove the double spacings.

I guess it's alright for a college admission since their standards wont be too high for such an assignment (unless you plan on studying english).

And 'fuck writing'? Really? College material right here folks.
i'm just saying the layout won't matter because someone's going to copy and paste the words from my word document into some application type thing.  an admission's officer will then spend 30 seconds reading my personal statement.  and no, i think computer science might be the opposite of english   meh, i'm just going to go for it then

hopefully college teaches me to become a better writer.  if not, i'll just start a blog and maybe then i'll get better

If you do comprehend it, dont bitch. 20 pages isn't THAT much.
I would be more worried if you wouldn't know a single thing about the subject and then had to write 20 pages on it.
20 pages is a fuckload bro

College level comp-sci?
well in that case you hand in a collection of Warman's finest posts and you would still pass the "creative" writing assignment.
I don't think they give a shit about how well you can write, it's a simple assignment to see if you're not mentally slow.

Don't think too much of it. Your assignment is good enough to pass methinks.

i've enjoyed all the papers i've done in uni but they've all been no more than 10 pages and on subjects I enjoy. thankfully the only english class i have to take is business writing which is silly shit like memos and emails.

Double spaced? Nah, not really.

well, it's not really an assignment though and it's not about passing a class.

i'm applying to a college and most colleges these days have a 'personal statement' or some question they want applicants to respond to with a specific word limit.  it's all about impressing the college i guess.  hopefully my competition for the computer science/engineering program isn't too high.

Some kids love to play guitar, some kids love to play soccer, and others love to play video games. Personally, I love computer science. I started to learn about computer programming and reverse engineering at the age of 12 when I wanted to learn how to create cheats for computer games. After I was exposed to computer science, I studied the art of reverse engineering and the working of computers while I taught myself assembly, C++, C#, Java, and Pytho..
i;d like to read more about how your interest sparked.. i feel like it is brushed over here^ why do you love computer science?
