i should have joined the NG after high school, that way I'd be a citizen by now and could apply to some of these sweet government internships
You could, of course, leave the nations capital where security is such an issue...Hurricane2k9 wrote:

all government jobs require US citizenship though, and a lot of the beltway bandits do as well given the nature of their contracts
i like it here too. the DC area's economy is a lot stronger than almost any other part of the country.

Of course it is. The government will always expand and steal more from the rest of the countryHurricane2k9 wrote:

yup, no denying that it's largely based on government spending... but that'd even happen in Omaha if the government was seated there. I also like being somewhat close to my family.
Washington used to be a mosquito infested hellhole that everyone escaped as quickly as they could in the summers. Now it's becoming like the royal courts of oldHurricane2k9 wrote:

I applied for the visa waiver program to entre the US last night, and one of the questions was no joke:
"Are you currently, or ever were involved in acts of espionage or terrorism"
I would laugh if any spies/terrorists clicked yes for that

@Jay yeah summers here are about the worst thing of living here
@Adams the US naturalization form asks if you've ever solicited services from a prostitute or if you have ever been a "habitual drunkard"

Answering yes is instant admission because you're our kinda guy!Hurricane2k9 wrote:

When I used to fill out FAFSA forms they always asked if I'd ever had a drug conviction. Why would a drug conviction be the only thing preventing a student from getting financial aid? :confused:Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Ahh, that makes sense, as long as there is a way to get a waiver.eleven bravo wrote:

couldn't you just lie?
y'know, as long as they at least pay me in hoagies I'll do itThought Wawa was a part time job, but not a 'career'? Think again! Wawa's College Graduate Leadership Training Program offers new college graduates the opportunity to be a part of the Wawa team and build the foundation for launching a successful management career. There's even a Loan Forgiveness Program to help you get started on the right foot and pay off some of that tuition debt. Find out more!
I suppose but Ive never been convicted and I dont know anyone who has been who tried getting financial aid. I assume they do a quick background check to see if youre a felon.Hurricane2k9 wrote:
