I submitted an application to the local college and they turned me down. I tried for the VC promise because I can't afford college. Homeschool = nope so they wouldn't take me

I could have gotten a job I guess but miscommunication between me and my recruiter led me to go to a school that was private, Tier II, but then he told me I need 15 credits anyway so working on getting to a public school but there's issues with me being 19.

basically, private school is held to a different standard because they ignore state mandated standardized testing and thus can't be judged by the only metric government bureaucrats can easily understand

pass this 100 question test and essay and get your semester of college credit and youll be in by this time next year. I passed my chspe in april of 2000 at 17 and enlisted two months later.

Nah, ten years ago would have been tougher because everyone was joining because of patriotic duty.

'05-'07 was the best time. Iraq was going very badly and the economy was booming. The Army was actually helping people get their GEDs so they could join.

ofcourse its possible. if you dont have a hs diploma or ged you cant enroll. youd have to go through adult/vocation school to get the diploma or ged.

Well anyway I'm just very frustrated right now that I can't get in. I tried to enlist months ago when I was 18 and they turned me down. I hate being here having to listen to every fking retarded thing my mom or grandma says. No car, low-income job, bad living situation, etc.

No chance the economy will get better or a huge war will start anytime soon so I guess I'm just going to have to try to get the credits or something. I can't fking believe how FUBAR the US HS public system is.
