So here's a little vacation update (because i know how much you guys like to be kept up to speed with whats going on in my life):
Last night we took the cart up to the mountain for a special dinner occasion/party, but theres already been more snow than in the last 50 years here so the weather had been pretty intense for the last couple of days (massive snowfall, hard winds), so after a while we heard that the cart down had stopped and wasnt going to start up again for the next 24h (there were 15 people inside) because of the weather.
So we all walked down (8km through a thick pack of snow), something we didnt expect to do (the initial plan before everything shut down was to sled down like we always do, but the snow was just too high) because they even wanted to shut down the road down the mountain because of the avalanche threat.
We all got back down to the village safe and sound.
But heres the fun part. The carts started back up again last night (those 15 people were only stuck for 3h) and my brother went up this morning to go snowboarding (i was running a bit late because i went drinking last night) and it turns out that almost every slope is closed, so i wont be going up, and he is stuck in a restaurant there and they even had to go for cover due to an avalanche a few minutes ago. Now i sort of regret being lazy because im missing all the excitement and its not like theres going to be a life-threatening avalanche although theres been one with better weather about 13 years ago. /fwp
And to brighten the mood, here's a vacation pic:
