So are these new seasons any good or is the series running out of steam? I think the last one I watched was with the guy from third rock.

This is beginning to drag on.

I havent seen the new episode yet, but i can only assume that throughout this season they're going to bring him really close to being exposed (he has been caught now... Again) but in the end Deb will probably keep it a secret or die.

I was glad to see her go. She annoyed me even more than Deb does.

I think this would be a good season to end the series. I'd like to see Dexter start to slip up, feel even more guilty about Rita, Doakes etc. and just let the train come off the rails, have a big series finale and be done with it. Better that than have the show limp on for a few more years throwing in whatever guest star that's willing to be murdered at the end of the season.

I started getting bored with the show in Season 4. Stopped watching in Season 5, I think a few episodes in. It just felt like the same thing over and over again. I'll probably watch the rest when all the seasons are complete and I can watch them on dvd or netflix. Has the show got any better since his wife died?

i'd say season 2 and 3 were the best. this new season started off telling the story in a new way. i feel this is a wrap up season. Spoiler (highlight to read):
epi 1, last night. I want to know if Deb will aid or pull away? I hope to see a new team emerge. brother and sister, crime fightin duo. Also, sergeant batista lost weight. lookin good. or was it a good haircut?
