Only problem is we don't really have any buses here so that's out, no cabs either, at least neither of the two are easily accessible. It's California! In Switzerland I wouldn't have cared about a car.

She lives about 10 miles away from me though.

like honestly it's pretty awesome driving, but you have to bear in mind

1) girls are like normal people, quite shallow - if it's a shit car they will think about that
2) if the date goes bad, you still have to drive them home
3) girls can be picky about driving style

and so-on

just because it's all apple pie to drive the girl places doesn't make it the best thing to do

f.ex i was in a 3 series post my test, so i didn't even have to worry about having a bad car, or getting permission etc - and i still didn't use it until maybe the 3rd date until i knew what the girl was like
