Today due to many viruses I had to reformat my OTHER computer everything works fine except the internet. I have a Linksys wireless G USB Adapter and using the software it came with I cannot connect to the internet. Please help me here, this is the computer I use to play games on.

under advanced options, choose MAC address clone, clone your computer's MAC you're on now, to your wireless 1

i had the same problem with my wireless B router when i reformatted. i don't quite remember but if memory serves me correctly when you insert the disc DO NOT INSTALL. rather, plug in your adaptor if its USB, if PCI it should already be detected. go to the icon in the task bar that says "new device found" and click. when it asks for  where to get the drivers to run this, select your CD. if all goes well you should be online.

If you find it is only the internet that is not working - and all drivers etc are fine -  i suspect that you need to open internet explorer, go to tools>internet options>connections tab>LAN Setting and tick the box that says 'automatically detect settings', and make sure none of the others are ticked. That my best guess, as long as the WEP passcode and drivers are all installed correctly.

are you able to connect to the network??? have you tried changing some of the setting in the Wifi router (maybe it blocks you new networkname or similar). Try plugging in pysicallyinto the router
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
