Since I doubt anyone gives enough of a fuck about the A League for me to create a sports thread about it I'm going to vent here.
Can Aussie commentators stop treating the Roar like they're the tits? They've lost four games in a row now, one of them against the Phoenix, and today against the Mariners, though showing skill and determination in the second half, looked to be completely out of ideas and a shambles in front of goal, their only one being pretty fortuitous. My point is that although the Roar are good, (and maybe with Broich back they'd return to form,) I wish the commentators would take Postecoglou's balls out of their mouths and quit heaping praise on a team that isn't fucking performing right now. Seriously, Aussie commentators are crap at being impartial.
Against the Phoenix the Roar were pathetic, the Nix didn't even need posession to beat them 2 - 0 and while Roar we're keeping posession and had accurate passing most of the time they had no idea what to do with the ball. Against the Mariners they turned this up but while the Roar were playing in fifth gear the Mariners I doubt were out of third - and the Roar still had no ideas and couldn't even make it a draw.
