I saw them twice a few years ago. They headlined for Strung Out and Authority Zero at some shithole club down by Union Square (Irving Plaza), and then I saw them play as the third act for a Bad Religion show at the Nokia. Cool shows both times.

Edit - Murphy's Law and Anti-Flag were the first two acts but I missed them. Too bad about Anti-Flag, I liked them a lot back in the day.

Man, I'm getting old. That Irving Plaza show was the last one I've been to

I saw them once at Warped Tour, back when it was still good.

Don't really listen to them anymore. The closest thing to them that I listen to now is Hot Water Music, but they're quite a bit different.

I stopped listening to new music around the time I got too old for shows WRXP was really my only window into new stuff but they're gone now.

Why are you too old for shows? I go to at least 10 a year. I see people far older than I.

I'm quite a bit older than other people at the shows I go to, but I still go. Being 28, I reckon that I'm a whole 10-12 years older than the average age at these shows.

You're just the creepy older guy in the back allowed to drink legally, while the majority of the crowd is missing that oh-so-essential wristband. I was at The Early November reunion show in Jersey last month and it was kind of nice being one of the few people allowed in the bar area.

"too old for shows"? that's maybe the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

too old for teen-fad punk rock, maybe. but too old to go and see live music? um what. yeah nobody over 17 should go to see handel!

I dunno, I just feel weird at shows full of younger people, and the bands I like all have crowds in their 30s and 40s now and I've seen most of them multiple times.

I actually saw Handel's Messiah at Carnegie Hall last year so I guess that was the last concert I went to, not Pennywise.

I used to be like 'wtf, why do classic rock stations exist, how can people listen to the same music for 30-40 years?'. Now I'm the guy that's solidified his musical taste and has gotten all conservative with his boundaries. I think it's either inevitable with age or there really are only like 10 new songs per year that are worth a damn.

It was a pretty fantastic performance. The New York Philharmonic did a great job.

i dread the day i become musically conservative. the avant-garde and experimental are far too interesting. i'll never ossify.

You say that now, but I said the same thing when I was your age. Maybe you'll last longer than I did.

Or you could be like me, and try to find music that may not be the newest, but would be new to me.

For example, I just recently discovered fun. and Gold Old War. Their albums aren't new by any chance, but it helps keep things fresh.
