I said i'm in the UK and we've got distance selling regulations which say we have 7 days to return/cancel goods or services (including renewals) bought online (or away from a shop) so he said he needs to speak with his supervisor and he was gone for a few minutes, when he came back he said he'll do the refund
If he didn't I would have asked the bank to reverse the charge
The hosting company was siteground, on the one hand they were pretty sneaky offering a promotion of 9 dollars for the first year with small print in the T&C saying it will auto renew at $120 but on the other hand at least they fixed it fairly quickly, though I could have settled for store credit if i wasn't careful
