Very nice guide...
though I disagree about the tube being noob-resistant...
I've used it and, yes, it is slightly harder to use but nothing overly difficult.
Somebody said that 50% of players play using a sniper kit.
Most of those playing as snipers are noobs and that's why you say assault can take them out.
Assault is good for CQB I suppose but the AT kit's DAO-12 and the Engie kits are better suited for CQB.
Longrange-wise, assault is ok depending on the weapon, but snipers/meds outdo any assault weapon while the P90 on the AT side has decent CQB dmg and rate of fire packed along with a single shot scoped shot selection making it even with the assault.
In the end, the assault kit only has a few advantages: smoke, flash, and tube.
Smoke doesn't do that much and if you're at a distance you can see through some of the smoke.
Flashbangs are probably the best part the assault kit if you're F2000.
The tube is just a one hit kill/high dmg weapon; it's the easiest thing to use in CQB and in midrange, it doesn't take much practice to master it which is what makes it cheap.
if you're a MEC med, you have the AK-101 and medpacks which makes being a med on MEC better than assault. If you're a US med you have the G36E which is basically the M16 except better and you still have the medpacks.
The only good think about assault when compared to meds is the armor, the flashbangs/smokes, and the tube.
Meds usually aren't suppose to be in the very front of the frontline as they sorta stick behind people and heal them though sometimes meds to go on rampages and they do work. My point is that medic kits have the guns to allow them to pick off targets and heal at the same time which makes them better.
I'm not saying it's not fun to be assault; heck, when i get tired of being point farmed, I tube people, but overall, the other kits are still better.
