Just wondering what it does, when i put my graphics on high, Anti-Analysing is off, and its like 2x 4x 6x, what can that do?
Presumably you are referring to "Anti-Aliasing" or AA.
If you think this might be the case...then read on.
If you want to find out more about AA, the best resource is google. The first hits that come up when I typed in "Anti Aliasing" were pages which explain what the purpose and function of AA is.
so here is a link to...google.

smooths edges is all i know but i think it will also lower your frame rate. try it out and see what happens

I'm pretty sure it's for maxing out your video card and makes you die a lot more.
I could be wrong.
I could be wrong.
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
anti-aliasing is where your graphics card renders the edges of objects in the game to make them look smooth instead of `jagged` edges which you may see.
This, however, stresses out your card and requires it to do alot of work and therefore may slow down performance
Technical details : Your card uses pixels to render the edges by using pixels of the same colour but multiples them and the more pixels in that area , the smoother and sharper it will look.

what game is that?

I think Anti-Analysing sounds better
seems to be something like an antispyprog, that can save you from Gill Bates and other evil guys

Cool thanks
it makes straight lines pretty much. the game that needs it the most is GRAW in my mind. but hdr and aa cant be both enabled which is similar to fear but its soft shaders instead of hdr
Does the HDR+AA also include X1xxx series cards? Unless the game developer did something specific to stop it, ATi X1xxx cards can do HDR+AA; only pre-X1xxx ATi cards can't do it, nor can nVidia cards.Maj.Do wrote:

i think its the game that doesnt allow HDR and AA enabled at the same time just like oblivion game, but that should change with the patch coming out
AA is da bomb(!), in BF2, I have an SLI system with AA set to 16x & Transperancy AA, the edges of eveything look fantastic!
But check this out, I just bought Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PC, and it uses a 3-D shading/lighting method called: Deffered Lighting (DF) - Guess what? AA doesn't work with DF. The edges of everything look like CRAP! And because it is the method coded for in the 3-D engine - a PATCH to include AA is not possible.

AA is the difference between 99fps and 70fps for me.
Ah, Guild Wars player.sixshot wrote:

I stopped playing that a bit ago. I hit level 20 and just started getting immensely bored.
Is the limit still at 20 and is the new Factions addon anygood?
Yeah, as to what other players have said about AA. Removes jaggies, smooths things out etc etc.
damn , those lines are ugly.topal63 wrote:
