plastiman's live show tomorrow night. should be a fucking serious experience. classic minimal, some of the most important electronic music in recent years, imo. amazing live show from within this massive lighting rig. serioussss.

well it's not cause Richie hawtin is canadian! even though he's living in Berlin. last night was probably one of the best live performances I've ever been to. audio visual spectacle. the app was incredible, too: you could literally control the light show and the voice samples that were played at certain moments using your phones input. also had a chat room on a plastikman wifi network that facilitated an open MDMA and pills market, haha. I'll get some videos up soon, I'm still recovering. major comedown and my ear doesn't work. was right at the front the whole time, excellente!

When he was four he'd come to our gigs (my old band) with his dad and his dad (who would also play gigs with us) would tell us his favourite band in the world was ours, followed by Nirvana. He's now nine and meeting Dave Grohl... what next?!

i went behind the decks to chum with them for a bit at the end of the night, cause i said it was my bday like some queefing 12 year old. benufo dropped 'replica' by oneohtrix point never and we hugged. it was beautiful. my gf has photos on her phone but they're fucking awful. everyone there was a true state. look at pangaea in that above video! way too much of whatever he was taking.

Saw the Foo Fighters on Tuesday night, second time I've seen them, (last time was in 2005 about a month after I joined this site.) I'm not sure what your individual opinions of them are but I still say it's great that you can still go to a big ol' rock concert. And the Foo Fighters deliver too, they're great performers, they play until the crowd can barely stand and the experience is that of both being at an epic big show and also being at something more personal. Also out of the blue they came to NZ soon after the Christchurch Earthquake to play a show where all the proceeds went to the recovery effort. That's class.

Great show. Openers were NZ band Cairo Knife Fight, (seen them before,) Canadian band Fucked Up, (who despite their 'a 12 year old named us' moniker could have been good if I could have heard them over the yelling fat guy,) and Jack-Black-drags-around-a-bewildered-Kyle-Gass, (or 'Tenacious D'.)

Got a text from my Dad, who's in the US on business having flown there yesterday, saying "guess who I'm chatting with?"  So I saw the show but he got to meet the band. Bastard.

You were at this concert? Foo Fighters Concert Registers Earthquake-Level Geological Tremors

Also, a good mate's son got to sing on stage with Grohl to a record packed stadium a couple Saturdays ago in Melbourne:
