it's a completely different engine note, nothing to do with exhaust tuning. the v8 in a 430 revs to >8000rpm, that's why it sounds so different compared to a 'vette v8

The Zr1 can rev to 7000 RMP, so based off what you're saying, if it could rev to 8000 RMP it would sound like a Ferrarri? No. They're completely different engines, but it's always how American's have done their V8's. Ferrari does something to their motors to make it sound that way, kind of how Lexus had Yamaha tune the exhaust of the LFA to make it sound like a F1 car.Camm wrote:
