Transferring SMS from iPhone to PC

What I want to do is transfer the entire SMS history of one contact on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0) to my PC, so I can send it to them.

So far I can only find programs I have to pay for to do this, but I only want the entire SMS history of one contact so paying seems a bit unnecessary.

Spent about an hour looking about, tried a few trial versions, no success.

Anyone please help me here?

Only know how to do it on Android

See if theres an app that can back it up to gmail, thats what mine does

If you press edit and then select each message you can forward them to your email address. It puts each text on a new line but doesn't show who sent the message, so some parts might be confusing for someone else to read.

yeah you can forward them but it's 1 by 1.

Like I said you can forward more than one but you need to select each one, I don't know if there's a way to select all.

Well I want to forward a few hundred messages from one contact to my PC, so I can put it into a notepad or Word file and email it to her.

One by one would be... very tedious

I'll see if I can back up to Yahoo.

You just have to tap each message and scroll up, yeah it would be a bit tedious but you can do a few hundred in a couple of minutes

Tried that... it only wants to send as an sms... found this out after 15 minutes of selecting 1140 messages

mine let me send it to my email

but if you do it as a text does it combine them all into one message? if it does you could copy that and paste it into an email or something

That looks pretty decent. I'd still have to manually sift through the messages, which will takes ages, but at least it gets them to my PC. I'll give it a shot when I'm not getting ready for work.
