yep i've been on that for years. also subscribed to a lot of oxford philosophy lectures and stuff. it's all entertaining and casually informative. nowhere near as good as actual open conferences or seminars though, of course. i'm pressured/invited to go to so much more extra-curricular shit this year. it's kinda novel to watch an hour long seminar on a topic you're studying from another university.
also pos, yep, on the subject (though i genuinely wasn't thinking of him when i made my post - i'm not in love with him) i've always had the suspicion that he's bullshitting. his attempts to write in 'good' english formal prose always come across terribly and i just cannot imagine how someone of that level could be at a top uni. though i don't know anything about entry standards.
