Every episode is nothing but drama and at the end they show something promosing which starts a rampage of dumb speculation and hope that the next episode will be the one that will turn this season around.
I'm not going to be fooled by a tense ending and a flashy preview of what's to come.

Sure i have a little bit of hope left, and every show is allowed to spend 1 or 2 episodes on family drama, but they've already wasted half the season. the only thing that has been true to the first season has been the whole Shane-Otis-situation, which was only half an epsiode.

Am I the only one here that is actually enjoying the character development? Yes, the 2nd season has been quite slow but at the same time it's nice to actually have some true depth to characters in such a film/series for once.

You want character development in a show like this, but not in the way they're doing it now.
it should happen along the way, triggered by certain events and above all: Remaining in the background.

Now it's just episode after episode of:

Oh my! How long are we welcome here?

Who's baby is it?

Will they start a relationship against daddy's will?

Will the kid awake from his coma?

Maybe these plot questions sound familiar. That might be because they're often used to portait and/or make fun of soaps and cheesy drama shows.

Show's not really about zombies. It's how people interact and live under massive amounts of stress.

He could be right, he could be wrong. I don't really care. To come into a thread of a show you don't watch just to say you don't like it puts you in the same ranks as Floppy. Everyone bitched when he did it, yet apparently the psych ward's favorite patient is exempt. I don't like Boardwalk Empire but I don't go into the thread to tell everyone it sucks, because I know most people there enjoy the show.

yeah, that was silly. It would be like drinking zombie soup. yuck.

There were also continuity errors in the latest episode that stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
the scene where Daryl is laying there talking to Merle. In most shots, he has a ton of dirt on his face. Then in one shot, right in the middle of all the other shots, he doesn't have dirt on his face. I find that pretty annoying.
