Has there ever really been a pilot episode of any show that's blown people away? The only show I can think of that had a phenomenal pilot episode was LOST. Game of Thrones had a good one too, but that's based off a book so it's not really fair to put it in the same category.

Walt didn't kill any of Tio's relatives. He just "stabbed Tuco in the back", essentially. Gus was most likely the one that gave Hank the tip about the Salamanca hitmen, killed Don Eladio, and killed his grandson in the mass poisoning scene as well. Walt pissed off Tio, but Gus destroyed him. He knew he was at the end of his life, so I'm sure he figured if he's going go out and be the end of the Salamanca name, he might as well kill Gus along with him.

They could have ended the series on this episode and I would have been happy. As much as I love this series I hope they'll give it a dignified balls-to-the-wall final season before it can drag on into shit.
He wasn't a favorite character of mine but he played his part well. He was Victor's replacement - cold, brutal, uncaring, and a total footsoldier for Gus. I actually liked Victor, which made it suck to see him go. But Tyrus coming in to replace him spoke a lot about Gus's new path. Nobody was taking him seriously, so he 1) had to make a statement to Jesse and Walt and 2) had to remove a part of his "cabinet" (that consisted of Gus, Mike and Victor) that had not been totally serious and had majorly fucked up in going to Gale's apartment post-shooting and being seen.Roc18 wrote:
