You have to be a beast Pilot in Bad Company 2 to be successful in the choppers. It's alot harder than it was in Battlefield 2. If it's harder in Battlefield 3 thats ridiculous.UnkleRukus wrote:

The heli was actually better than I thought it would be, only problem was when it was disabled I couldn't bail. The Caspian game was much smoother this time, but it still does that thing where it disconnects you at the end of the round.

The choppers in BF3 are unlike any I've played in of the previous games. It feels like a brick with a rotor on the top, there's plenty of upward thrust but that's all you get. If you want to go forwards you basically have to point the nose at the ground. They're super slow, do not handle at all (you can barely bank to turn, all of it's done with WASD), the views you can use are pitiful, the weapons are absolutely terrible, both in the gunner seat and the pilot seat, and you can just forget about any aerial acrobatics a la BF2, the choppers just will not allow it.

also most maps have like at most 3 AA, with 2 being in each teams main. the central AA is normally entirely exposed and really if you can't kill it before it kills you it's you that's the problem, not the AA. ask jord how easy it is to go like 70+ - nothing in just a fucking blackhawk. but sorry roc keep that sand in your vagina

I've played enough BC2 to know that it's easy as hell to take down a chopper soloing with a tank. I rarely came across pilots who could destroy my armor consistently and rape "easily", those were good pilots.
and i rarely come across anyone who can shoot me down reliably and i'm hardly 'good' at flying or BC2 in general so this works both ways duh
