they have the same amount of championships in the last 10 years that NY has. How are they irrelevant? Because they don't make the playoffs every year? I think you would have a point if I were a KC fan or something.
and it's the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim you wannabe sports fan
They are tied. We own them in a direct match-up, and you're trying to suggest that the Sox are a better team?Poseidon wrote:
What point is there? You're making up absolute horseshit that the statistically worse team with less threats in batting and pitching is going to be somehow scarier entering the playoffs based on absolutely nothing. And I think you know it too, you're just taking it really personally for some reason and I don't know why.
Philly did phenomenal to end last season too. Look where that ended them. That's two examples of teams just in the past three years who came into the playoffs hot and did nothing.
Again, mr exception, do I really need to go give you examples that were doing well in the playoff's and also did well in the post season? Your mind is stuck in a rut. That, I do know.
I'm not taking it personally. If the bold tags were to confrontational for you I apologize.

IIRC the Red Sox also beat the Yankees in the season series. Still means nothing. Try again.Kmar wrote:

it's all conjecture anyway, they won't even see each other unless they make the LCS

hey look it's ken still trying to be a part of the conversation when the only thing he had to contribute was trying to compare his team which won't even make the playoffs to a team that has the best record in the AL

Poseidon, there's no way in hell you would rather face TB's pitching staff than Boston's in the playoffs...

When it's a 3 man rotation? Absolutely. Beckett is a Yankee killer and Lester, while his regular season numbers dropped off, is still very scary to face. I'm a lot more scared of them than I am David Price, a rookie Hellickson and Shields. No doubt all 3 pitched well against the Yankees this year, but Beckett as an ace is a lot scarier than Price as an ace in a 7 game series.Jay wrote:

Yeah, there's that Tampa Bay pitching staff that was "going into the playoffs hot" and was clearly something for the Yankees bats to be afraid of compared to Boston's pitching
Yanks and Boston have to get through the first round too.
does toronto have a shot in hell at the playoffs?
