having your arm inked up looks more trashy and offensive than someone sagging imo.

That's a full sleeve. A partial sleeve, what lowing has, is from the elbow down.

Can't lie, I never had an opinion on them at all. I could take them or leave them. However, as I got older and met more and more people with them, and listened to the stories behind them and how deeply personal most of them are, I was intrigued.

and to say a tattoo is more offensive to you than staring at some guys ass as you walk behind him down the street, well, I think you are just wanting to argue.

Not really a sleeve if most of the arm/forearm isn't covered in ink.

Also, anybody whose pants drop below their underwear's elastic is a massive tool.

neh, mine just covers the inside of my forearm and somewhat wraps around to the front, not all the way.

So it's been three days now and my tatt is healing up exceptionally well. Very little scabbing, if you could even call it that, no peeling and it's less painful to accidently brush it on clothing

Starting to think about another one... and so it begins!
After 3 days, I think the peeling and scabbing has yet to come...It will also itch like a mother fucker
This. Healing can take up to 2 weeks. Just make sure you keep it cremed up, makes the process alot smoother (no pun intended). Don´t use vaseline though.
Nah I'm just going to keep using the vit A&D ointment I bought from the tattooist.

Funny you mentioned the itching because it only started just now...

lol, well I know you know not to scratch it, but a trick I was told to deal with it was to slap your tattoo when it itched, and that will relieve the itch. I am here to tell you it works, and the relief from it feels great.

I had my entire forearm done from wrist to bend in my elbow ( the ditch ).   Healing took about 3.5 weeks and it drove me absolutely bat shit with the itching. Took 6 hours to do, not sure I wanna sit through another session like that, or could.
That´s quite the work then. I got a small one on the side of my torso and a Buddha covering my left shoulder. Took about 1,5 hours, healed in about a week. His shouldn´t take longer, thats what I was trying to say.

Perfect, if you got a cream from the tattooist, you shouldnt need anything else. They usually know whats best.

healing in a week is pretty damn fast. What do your tattoos represent?

The small one on the torso is representing my parents. They were always there for me and always will and I´m very grateful for that.
The Buddha represents my sister mostly (because she loves them very much), but also my believe in Karma.
The healing on both was quick due to the smaller size and little to no use of colours.

Did the torso hurt much? Mine was ok except for a few times when the needle went over the thin skin covering a tendon. Then it felt like someone scraping under my skin with a razor blade.

Its on the right side of my torso, right over the last part of the ripcage. And it stung like a motherfucker. Incredibly painful. A friend was with me and I was unable to speak several times during the session. The coloring especially was mean. Felt like I got my skin peeled off with a hot butter knife.
Apparently I looked accordingly, she thought I would drop right off the chair a few times, lol.

A few tattooers told me that it was pretty much the most painfull spot to get a tat. Pain is highly subjective though and it being my first one probably made things worse.
The Buddha on my shoulder wasn´t bad at all for example, although its much bigger and took twice as long.

Interesting. A mate of mine got his sleeve finished a couple months ago, basically 2/3 of the forearm from the wrist up, all around the arm. He said it hurt like hell. Out of the 4-5 hours it took he could only film a few minutes of it. And part of it was going over an old tattoo that was on the inside of his wrist, about 4" in diameter. Looks awesome though.

I knew it was uncomfortable, but I was not prepared for the amount of pain getting a tattoo entailed. Honestly I figured how bad could it really be? A lot of people got them even women. Man was  I wrong.

You're right, it was bad enough going over the area the first time, but by the time they went over the SAME area for coloring, AFTER outlining and AFTER shadowing, my skin was pretty wore the fuck out!. Remember thinking, how in the FUCK could people do this shit to themselves all over their bodies?

amen to that!

Before I went on for mine, people told me the outlining would hurt and that the shading would be a breeze. WRONG!! Outlining was alright.  The needle doesn't linger in one place too long.  The shading right next to the lines hurt so badly.

Yup, although the outlining was more than I expected I sucked it up and dealt with it. During the shading and coloring processes my ass was claiming the walls, miraculously all the while my arm stayed still. Honest to god, if do it again, I am gunna take a wooden spoon to bite down on. Probably 2, since I know I will be biting the first one in half. .

Mine took two sessions and for the 2nd one I took one of those stress balls.  It kinda helped.  The thing that sucked was that I was trying to calm myself and "go to my happy place" but the tattoo artist had on this hard core metal shit that was not the least bit relaxing.

lol, tell him to throw on some Carpenters for ya next time. At least when you cry you can blame the sad songs.

I gotta go back for some touch up work, a scab that pulled out some ink and some more coloring. Feel like I am slated to walk the green mile goin back there.

I was about to suggest Radiohead, lol

Not sure where my next one will be but I think it will be either my other arm or somewhere more concealed.
