If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
Fine by me, but it was sincere.

Getting prices on one of these.
My Izh35 is worn out and slam-firing, I think I'll do it.

Fuck Israel
Why not a Hammerli SP20 ?
I've never been into pure target pistols.
Only competition pistols I know are Service Pistol match pistols.
(Beretta 92FS, Colt 1911, and Sig Sauer P226)

Too bad you're too fat to run, swim or cycle shifty.
he's super skinny
anyways, anyone here have an opinion on the ergonomics of the Walther P99?

Because the carbon-fibre frames crack up fairly quickly, and with the forward magazine they're too front heavy for me.rdx-fx wrote:

The Hammerli 280 was not well regarded, the frame broke up, they bodged a fix with a bolt-on piece of aluminium and now they've done the exact same thing with the SP20.
That and a one piece moulded grip/frame is a bunch of arse - I like to adjust my grips.
I'd buy a GSP before an SP20.
Also Walther-Umarex is turning into dogshit, no-one can get spares for anything.

from what i can tell you seem to be pretty smart with guns/an enthusiast but for the average person a classic that goes bang is best.

It is called reloading.andros wrote:

You recycle the brass, or use all new components.
The powder, primer, and bullet are a one-time use item. No reuse.
For my rifle, custom reloads tuned to the rifle cost me about $0.75 per round, not including the brass.
About $1.00 per round, averaging in 5 uses of the brass.
Compared to factory loaded crap rounds at $40/box of 20, at least.
Factory rounds are 1" to 2" groups at 100 yards.
My tailored hunting reloads are 0.625" groups at 350 yards (2"+ at 625 yards - but that's my fault)
So, buy a box of shells at the store - spend $2 per round, get craptastic 2" groups at 100 yards.
OR, load your own, spend $1 per round, get phenomenal 2" groups at 600 yards.
You're looking at the wrong end.andros wrote:
sweet jesus that thing is fugly.
The pretty end of a pistol like that is the target at the other end of the range.
Specifically, look at the tight little groups it puts in the middle of that target waaaaay down at the end of the range.
That is the beautiful end of a target firearm
(Or, if you happen to be inclined towards mechanical design - the interior of similarly designed firearms)
What happens at the target is what matters.
Mechanically there is more innovation in that single Russian designed pistol than the last 100 years of US pistol development.
Reloading saves me a ton of money, and lets me shoot calibres for which factory ammo does not exist.

you live in cali amirite
it's illegal
"In the United States, private ownership of a flamethrower is not restricted by federal law, but is restricted in some states, such as California, by state laws (cf. California Health and Welfare Codes 12750–12761, Flamethrowing Devices)."
In California, unlicensed possession of a flame-throwing device—statutorily defined as "any non-stationary and transportable device designed or intended to emit or propel a burning stream of combustible or flammable liquid a distance of at least 10 feet" H&W 12750 (a)—is a misdemeanor punishable with a county jail term not exceeding one year OR with a fine not exceeding $10,000 (CA H&W 12761). Licenses to use flamethrowers are issued by the State Fire Marshal, and he or she may use any criteria for issuing or not issuing that license that he deems fit, but must publish those criteria in the California Code of Regulations, Title 11, Section 970 et seq."
