If I have a choice then I would choose to live...It would be your action that removes any real choice.Jay wrote:
How do you figure lowing? It's still your choice whether or not to jump. You have decision making powers.lowing wrote:
Wrong. By you pointing a gun to my head, you are FORCING me into a position and decision not of my choosing, this makes YOU responsible for the outcome. Period.Jay wrote:
Because there are a million and one factors that go into any action. If I held a gun to your head, walked you to a ledge, and told you to jump, who would be to blame if you jumped? By your definition, it would be your own, because you had the ultimate choice whether you took the plunge or not. The fact that I was holding a gun to your head was irrelevant. This is why black and white, right or wrong, presumptions do not work.
Let's add more to this: what if you were hungry? Or thirsty? What if you hadn't slept in four days and were hallucinating? What if I had forced you to take drugs? But this is all irrelevant. Live or die, your choice.
Bullshit, it is your choice to break into business and steal the big screen, it is your choice to burn the cars, it is your choice to murder. You were not driven to it, and you did have a choice. There is no way the cops shooting a drug dealer affects your choice to loot, vandalize, commit arson or murder etc or not. They are not the same things so don't even try it.Cheeky_Ninja06 wrote:

So if the situation isn't of your choosing then its somebody else's fault? Say if you are born into a shitty family / area ?
They were not driven to it?

The vast majority of them were doing it because others were doing it, that is hardly being driven to it.Cheeky_Ninja06 wrote:

Also rioting over a shot drug dealer is not being driven to it either.
Ah yes of course. The riots happened for only 2 reasons. Firstly they were bored and horrible scummy people and secondly a drug dealer got shot.
There were no other factors.
There were no other factors.
They were not forced into it. There are far more peaceful, legal was to be heard. They chose the easy, violent, irresponsible one and should be treated accordingly.
mainly they were followers. They had no good reason to riot. If they were starving peasants they would be stealing food, not big screens and ipads.Cheeky_Ninja06 wrote:

The vast majority of people that walk this earth are followers lowing...

So. there nothing wrong with being a follower. It is what you are following that defines us all.Jay wrote:

In the case of people following criminal behavior for the fun of it, or for an Ipad...welllllllll
