I hate people that have really staunch, angry opinions on something that happened nowhere near them and affected them in no way whatsoever.

Yep can truly see how 4 years is too long

Not really shifty if you actually read the damn article it says they tried to incite rioting in a town where there was none, with no consequence. So none of what you quoted applies, at all.
Now I'd normally destroy you with insults right here but OH is playing scout master for a few weeks so I'm going to leave you be.

And yeah, I should have read the article. Next time say, "read the article shifty" that's what non-douches do

I'd agree with the justice advocates, it is too severe. It's an inflated sentance based on public anger, tired migistrates under a lot of pressure and kneejerk reactions. There isn't some elite that organised the whole thing that you can pin large sentances on and be done with it.
Why would you think I'm not a douche? I post pretty consistently...-Sh1fty- wrote:

Yup which is why I support punishment for criminals. How about you? Or are you one of those huge rehab, fans?ROGUEDD wrote:

everybody ignored them? not according to the looting, vandalism, violence, arson and murders that took place.Cause and effect. Well done. The men both admitted encouraging crime in Northwich, although there were no outbreaks of disorder in the town.BBC wrote:
Blackshaw, of Marston, Cheshire, and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22, of Warrington, also Cheshire, were jailed for four years each after admitting using Facebook to incite disorder, although none actually resulted.Yup all completely justified. I like how anybody involved in facebook gets a far longer sentance than people who actually commit the robbery etc.BBC also wrote wrote:
Anderson Fernandes, 22, was warned by a judge at Manchester Magistrates' Court he may face jail for stealing two scoops of ice cream. He will be sentenced next week after admitting burglary.
Nicolas Robinson, 23, of Borough, south-east London, was jailed for six mon
ths for burglary. He took a £3.50 case of water from Lidl supermarket
Mother-of-two Ursula Nevin, from Manchester, was jailed for five months for receiving a pair of shorts given to her after they had been looted from a city centre store.
Minor criminals invariably get disproportionate sentences...
I don't get off on knowing people are being punished, I'd rather see proper deterrence which is mostly related to detection and prosecution.

Fuck Israel
Wow.
They made a Facebook group telling people to meet up "behind Maccies" in Northwich at a specific time and date. Nobody came.
You cannot punish them for rioting that happened elsewhere. Sure give them a punishment for attempting to incite but why give the longest sentance handed out so far to a couple of people that didnt actual do anything?

If it can be proved that you were or attempted to be a ring leader of a riot you most certainly deserve 4 years.
You can punish them for conspiracy to commit a crime, whether or not the crime happened.Cheeky_Ninja06 wrote:

Why give a longer sentence for "conspiracy to commit crime" than you give to people who did carry out the crime?Dilbert_X wrote:

Essentially the people in question would have been better off robbing a shop as they would have a lower sentence. Daft much?
I guess planning a crime when you're cold and sober is seen as more serious than spur of the moment stupidity.

jus saiyin. if my governement created such a pressure on my life, i'd want to let off some steam aswell...
i'm unsure if i'd go as far as torching my neighbors shit, but i'd be faggotry towards political standpoints.

Make X-meds a full member, for the sake of 15 year old anal gangbang porn watchers everywhere!
You gotta be shitting me!!! If your govt. CREATED such a pressure on your life? What pressure did they CREATE? NOT paying your way through life is undeserved pressure for you? EXPECTING someone else to flip the bill for your existence and then they don't, is pressure you shouldn't have to endure? Your bullshit about the govt. pressures you by not hand holding you is the problem, not the govt.tazz. wrote:

I'd assume he's talking more about a heavy handed police force, though I don't know if he's doing a hypothetical on UK residents or speaking for his own country.lowing wrote:

Either way I sincerely doubt he's talking about lack of welfare creating pressure on his life...

No he is talking about wanting to let off some steam as well, if the govt. pressured him too much. That can not be taken any other way than how it was said.jord wrote:

I'd hardly equate a pretty small riot over a relatively small amount of time to the above. Though I get your point and it makes sense to what I said, so fair enough.Ilocano wrote:
