Its a multiplayer game, not a flight simulator. Giving someone with a joystick incredible advantage over everyone everywhere on the map waters down the game for everyone else. Not saying they should nerf them, they still have to be deadly enough to kick some ass.

During a part of the press conference, a shot of Battlelog appears on the big screen, with an M4, M67 and then a pistol at the bottom. The pistol (only saw the rear half) looks like one of those two.

From a gameplay perspective it might lead to better dogfights, more chaos, and it gives more people the chance to ease their way into it. Hopefully they will balance it so the best pilots are allowed to do well without dominating the foodchain.

This. Yay for dogfights. And they f*ckin looked awesome. Keep to the skies and you should be safe from non AA threats. And considering the number in the air, probably won't be a problem actually getting a chance to pilot one of them.

Only early on. Then they'll miss their precious k/d ratio and kill streaks. Typical CoD players aren't team players and will rage quit when they can't dominate games solo.
