Eh I can't be bothered to register to that forum lol. So apologies if I repeat stuff that is on there.

The pilot/ACO tests are essentially a mix of aptitude, coordination and maths tests. If you go to a decent recruiter these will all be done on a computer, but I had to do some of mine with pen/paper.

(This may not be the exact order) First you do a maths test, this is similar to the YOU session maths test but involves more questions like "If plane 1 is travelling east at 50knots and plane 2 is travelling west at 30knots where will they meet" etc. It also involves multiplication/division of large and unusual numbers without a calculator. You will also answer questions involving reading compasses, determining the direction of aircraft by instruments and/or silhouette etc etc.

After that there are a bunch of coordination tests like using two joysticks to keep 2 targets on top of each other (the sensitivity of the joysticks is constantly changing). Another one you have to keep the targets lined up (with joystick again) while you solve simple-ish maths questions. Finally, there are also memory tests (remembering series of numbers, shapes and positions etc) and I think there was also a reaction time test. 

As for preparing for it. I mainly just brushed up on all my basic maths as well as brushing up on my units (knots, mph etc) and aircraft instruments . I'm not sure there is much more you can do other than have a general idea of what is going to happen. You could probably practice some coordination/memory stuff online but I didn't bother.

On a side not I did the test in year 11 so it is probably easier than I remember it
