why would the MP need to be scaled down? PC games have graphics settings
If BC2 is any indication though, I wouldn't expect much.

I mentioned above that it was an actual in-game screen shot. EA/DICE did not alter the image in any way.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Pffft. Speak for yourself. I hardly touch SP for FPS games. I'm still in the jungle on BC2, and never played any of the COD SP beyond the first Chapter, or only to help my kids for co-op. In fact, most low 20'ish FPS players I've met are more interested in SP than MP. The under 20's though, prefer MP. I'd wager the majority of veteran BF MP players are 30+. I know a 40+ who still plays DoD and the like.Spearhead wrote:
Singeplayer and co-op is good for the 40 year olds and noobs who need a narrative to make them feel as if their in a "real" war. Bad co. and 2 were good campaigns compared to the Michael Bay of video games, Call of Duty, but you really have to wonder what that has to do with the actual game we really care about. It doesnt matter in the end how many buildings you can destroy, it matters how the game functions when 30, 40, 50 or 60 people are playing it and if that results in lower sales, then charge everyone 5 bucks every 6 months. BF2 over 6 years I would've easily paid monthly for, pay for it when you want to play it and don't pay for it when you dont want to play it.Sisco wrote:

Don't abandon the loyalists and people who loved the series in the first place just because you want to make more money. That is something CoD did long ago with CoD2 and look how it turned out...
As for the graphics of that last shot, well, it's SP. So, obviously, graphics can be pushed to high levels since processing power isn't tasked to track and handle 64 players.
I read that if it weren't for consoles, computers would have much better AI.

The only clan I've ever been in were run by a bunch of old guys (mid 20's) for the very first CoD, they sucked in game compared to the youngins but were instrumental in keeping the group together. For a good 3-5 years. Maybe thats why I have a bias, that was back in 2005. Good times.Ilocano wrote:

his name is Moo Gramps, I wonder why
I can understand someone who grew up in the 80's being interested in games but to me someone that old on the internet is just creepy. My dad is a baby boomer in his 60s, he hardly knows how to use a basic computer let alone play a game like solitaireTrotskygrad wrote:

My father is in his 80's and he surf's the net and does play Solitaire on Windows. He even webcam chats. But then again, he was an engineer.
I'm 48 and should be attaining rank 50 in BFBC2, tonight. STFU noob.Spearhead wrote:

My Uncle who is now like 58 or something got me and my bros into games back in about 89-90. It's not at all weird seeing him play games. He doesn't play FPSs but if he liked them then I'm sure he would. I can definitely see me playing BF8 when I'm 50+Spearhead wrote:

Well, I hope that the rumors are right. Hopefully the A4 will be the standard starting weapon, and that you unlock the A3 later.M.O.A.B wrote:
